December 2, 2016 – After The Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The pulse of Students on Broadway is Jerry Schwartz. His preparation and communication throughout the months leading up to our travel was second-to-none. Jerry gives not only his infectious energy, but also puts his heart into every last detail. Jerry’s “boots on the ground” approach is invaluable for any group traveling to New York City. If there’s a problem (and let’s face it, with traffic and such there will always be some potential hiccups along the way), Jerry is not frantically picking up the phone from a remote location. Rather, he is walking directly to locations, meeting face to face with people that can help solve problems. This personal approach is desirable for any group traveling to New York City.

Another strength of the company, Jeff Beckman, works closely with Macy’s Parade bands as a great resource, particularly for rehearsals while out of town. He knows when to provide information, and just as importantly, when to stay out of the way and only help when asked. His assistance at the rehearsal facility made that process run incredibly smoothly. Jeff also maintains a positive, helpful demeanor at all times, and is so supportive of the staff and students of the band he’s working with. A true pro.

The Jerry/Jeff team will do everything they can to make your NYC trip a success, and will even add personal touches along the way. I highly encourage directors to look into Students on Broadway and get to know these two individuals.
